There are many ways to involve yourself with Stratford Ecological Center.  The easiest way is to come out and visit the farm during our open hours and for our special events.  Stratford hosts two main, fundraising events each year.  In early March, come experience our Maple Sugar Festival.  See how the sugaring process is done, tour the farm and fill up on a yummy, down-home cooked breakfast complete with flapjacks, our very own maple syrup and Stratford's own sausage.  In October, spend a fall day outdoors on the farm at our Fall Harvest Fair.  It's a great family adventure of music, crafts, outdoor activities and of course, food.  Fly a kite, visit the animals, take a wagon ride and enjoy Stratford to the fullest!

Volunteers are very important to Stratford.  Without them, Stratford could not accomplish its goal of reaching out and educating the public about the environment, sustainability issues and living a simpler life.  People of all ages and all walks of life have joined Stratford's efforts by helping with the simplest tasks such as keeping a garden bed free of weeds and looking pretty to taking on animal chores to planting seeds in the greenhouse to guiding children around the farm and preserve for adventure-packed fun to much more!  Volunteers come out to help with special events just once or twice a year.  Others come once a month and still others once a week.  You options are virtually unlimited.  Consider becoming a volunteer today!  Community service hours are also available.

As with any non-profit organization, Stratford has a limited budget to work with.  As a result, there are many items that are wished for and some that are needed.  You can help now by donating any of the items on our Wish List.
