Internship Application
To apply for the Environmental Education or the Sustainable Agriculture Internship, you need to submit a cover letter, resume and answers to the questions below. Applications will be taken by mail or email (see internship descriptions for contact information). Please specify which internship you are interested in. All applicants, regardless of the type, need to answer the following questions - the answers do not have to be long, but be sure to include enough detail for us to get to know you better!
Briefly describe your relevant educational and/or work experiences and any background information that would help us get to know you better.
This is an internship that develops practical farming skills necessary for farming in a more sustainable or resource-conscious way. Why is it important for you to develop such skills at this time? How does this fit with your personal and professional goals?
What are some specific areas of interest in sustainable agriculture that you would like to learn more about? For instance, livestock rearing, horticultural production (fruits, vegetables, herbs, etc.), field crop production, cover crops, agroforestry, ecology, economics, etc.
This internship involves teaching youth about farms, food, animals and our environment. Describe any involvement you have had with young people and/or teaching. How will the teaching part of the internship fit with your personal and professional goals?
